When a child leaves the protected environs of his home, his/her parents are overcome with anxiety & concern for his well-being and proper training.

A school reinforces the same values the parents have taken care to inculcate in their child but nurtures the nature of a child better as it gives a wider social interaction which enhances a child’s cognitive skills. The intellectual, emotional, physical & social development of a child is skillfully designed for the all-round development of a child. A child’s talents are spotted and honed efficaciously and he is provided with a platform to prove his mettle. This instils confidence in a child, fostering a healthy competitive spirit simultaneously. A child also develops a keen sense of perception and perspective through observation and participation.

The Teaching Method

The Nursery Wing is given special emphasis being the portal to a child’s social, intellectual and moral training. The Play-way Method is followed to help a child imbibe knowledge, social & moral values and a healthy competitive spirit & etiquettes in an interesting manner without making it an uphill task for the child.

The child is taught basic concepts, is encouraged to participate in sports activities and his creativity is keenly observed and encouraged.

Orientation Programme

Parents are invited to an extensive session to acquaint them with the teaching techniques used and the activities conducted to aid their physical, emotional and intellectual growth.


There are times when a child becomes recalcitrant, moody and buckles under the expectations of parents. To advise parents and students on such accounts, a team of qualified counsellors visit the school often.

The Primary Wing

The teaching techniques in these classes include reinforcement of the things learnt in the previous classes effectively besides the new thoughts & ideas and lays the foundation for a child’s future career. Well-organised syllabi, comprehensive sports, aerobics & judo for physical development, dance, music, band, recitation & elocution sessions and dramatics are the hall mark of the endeavour to develop a child’s potential to the fullest. A plethora of competitions are organised as a confidence building measure and also to instil a healthy competitive spirit in him / her. The child is then ready for his next stride i.e. to the Middle Wing. At this stage he goes to the Parent School – St. Andrews Scots Sr. Sec. School, I.P. Extension (Patparganj) where his intellect is further stimulated and talents are given a further fillip.

The Assessment System

No formal examinations are conducted till Class III. The child’s performance is assessed on a regular basis. Formal exams are conducted from Class IV onwards in which the child’s performance is judged. Three Unit Tests are conducted in an academic session. Weekly tests are conducted in the class on the basis of which a child’s Internal Assessment marks are awarded.
